Sir:
Yesterday evening I requested two DH4's, with complete crews, so "A" Flt, No. 54 Sqdn, might continue bombing, spotting, and reconnaissance operations. This morning I found that my request was denied in its totality, and yet "A" Flt was ordered to conduct a bombing raid against the enemy Advance Headquarters. No one can be surprised that I must cancel this mission.
